Placement Considerations
When deciding upon an Aircastle puppy, you will certainly want to consider the following:
•
Our aim is to produce future champions, though pets are generally available
•
No Aircastle puppy will EVER be placed for milling or mixed/cross-breeding!
•
Puppies not destined for exhibition must be altered just after their first birthday
•
Aircastle puppies are rarely placed before the age of nine weeks
•
All puppies are placed on contract, without exception! (Sample upon request)
•
As breeder, all selections will be based upon our placement preferences
•
Aircastle withholds the right of refusal on any and all placements
•
Tails will be docked, as per the AKC standard, unless otherwise requested for FCI
•
Puppies come with the first series of shots and their first vet checkup
•
A health guarantee will be offered as part of the sales contract
•
We offer a no questions asked return policy
•
We do not accept down payment, as nature is not nearly that predictable
•
Financing is available upon request and with interest
Upcoming Litters for 2025
Our beloved Grand Champion, Crystal, has aged out of the breeding program. So, she was
replaced by Bridgett and eventually Nova. They are the two lines we are running at this
time, though both of our girls must first reach their second heat cycle and undergo
appropriate health and genetics testing. Bridgett should be due to come in season in April
or May.
We’re planning on using either Sneaker or Dante, contingent upon health and genetic
testing of both. But so far, we haven’t made a final decision. Hopefully over the remaining
six months, we’ll get a chance to get all the work done in preparation. Note that we can
only use our males with Bridgett due to inbreeding considerations. (Bridget was a gift from
Terri Creech of Bear Cove Standard Poodles and is not genetically related to the Aircastle line.)
Choosing a sire is a serious task and takes months of planning to put together just that
right combination. Once we decide who’s up first, then we will post this information here
so we can show a prospective pedigree. Therefore, keep checking back to see how the
progression is going.
No perfume is ever
so sweet as that of
a puppy’s breath
While everybody wants a
puppy, there’s a certain value
in rescue. So before you
apply, may we recommend
you avoid all the annoyance
of puppy training and first go
see who needs you to give
them a home.
In breeding purebred
champions, we never
entertain crossing or mix-
breeding our dogs, and we
recommend avoiding cross-
bred puppies when possible.
We believe in breeding an
average of no more than one
litter every two years, so our
puppies are not often
available because our goal is
to instill higher quality, and
not in producing scores of
pets. Thus, we recommend
you apply for a puppy long
before a litter becomes
available. We do not take
deposits, but will hold
completed application until
we’re sure of a successful
breeding.
We also make referrals to
other breeders whom we
know, trust, and who share
our breeding philosophy.
Contact us and we will gladly
make a recommendation.
