Honoring Our

Philosophy

You may be wondering why there aren’t hundreds of titled Aircastle puppies from more than three decades of breeding Poodles. While it is tempting to chase rosettes and breed consecutive litters to build our reputation on scores of champions, we have chosen to place our emphasis on the quality we produce in those litters with which God has granted us. By following that philosophy, we have built our legacy on less than 40 litters. Therefore, we will always honor our motto, “Engenium Ante Copian”, loosely translated, “Quality Before Quantity”. And thus, while copious accolades are tempting, we feel even greater pride in knowing we are advancing the breed in health and conformation, a goal that is both more enduring and true to the purpose all reputable breeders should aspire.
