Another Good Weekend
Sneaks and Nova went to Wapakonetta this past weekend and walked
away with one, possibly two, UKC Championships. Sneaker went into the
weekend only needing five points to finish, which he easily won with a
Best of Winners on Saturday morning.
These were Nova’s first shows and she strutted her stuff for two Best of
Winners and two Best Females. She also won her class once or twice,
which would give her the necessary three competition wins and 100
points…if my math is correct. If not, she will certainly finish her next
weekend out.
Way to go kids…!
Sneaker Finishes Well in AKC
From October 9th through the 13th, 2024, our boy Sneaker went to the
Tri-Star Cluster in Lebanon, TN, and came home with a shiny new
conformation title. We’re proud to introduce CH Aircastle’s Sneak Attack,
B-CAT. On the first day of the cluster, Sneaker went Best of Winners for a
4-point Major, finishing his last required win to earn his AKC
Championship. Way to go Sneaks!
This is more than a blessing, since Sneaker really doesn’t like to show in
Conformation. He much prefers Fast CAT, where he’s presently working
on his D-CAT title. He’s a little over half-way there and will continue to
compete with his mom, who is also working on D-CAT, until both have
reached the highest level…and are thoroughly exhausted from all the
running.
Nova Competes in Fort Wayne
Nova was recently shown at the Old Fort Cluster shows in Fort Wayne,
Indiana. Entered in Puppy 6 to 9, at just two weeks over six months old,
she spent four glorious days dazzling the crowds and winning…okay, she
didn’t win anything.
However, to be successful in this sport, one must set reasonable goals
and work to achieve them first. While Best in Show would have been a
wonderful accolade…it would hardly have been reasonable. Thus, our
goals for that weekend were:
•
Head up
•
Tail up
•
Happy attitude
•
Paying attention to our handler
•
Allowing the judge to touch us
Baby Nova was truly a rock star! She achieved every goal we had for the
weekend, plus she did it all while Barb and I were sitting ringside. She
went through four AKC shows in four days and, though a little puppy
bouncy, she went through the whole routine as if she were born for the
ring…which she was, by the way.
Anyway, she was stellar and we couldn’t be more proud of her. Aircastle’s
New Hope Arising is well on her way to putting a title in front of that
fancy name, as only time will tell.
PS: Our bonus is that her beautiful eyes are also CERF “Clear”…yee haw!
From the Whelping Box
We breed for the show ring and to improve
the Poodle breed as a whole. Therefore,
we don’t breed often since our aim is to
produce quality and not quantity. We do
have puppies available from time to time,
so if you’re interested click on the button
