A Good Showing for a Young Girl

Nova went to Indianapolis the last week of January and into February’s first weekend. There were as many as 14 to 16 bitches present so it was an uphill fight for the major points. That Thursday and Friday, she was being a bit coy and wasn’t showing at her best. Thus, there were no wins coming out of those days. Saturday she acted a lot better, and though she didn’t win any points, she did take Reserve Winner’s Bitch to the Major for both the regular show and the Poodle Specialty. Sunday, she repeated the feat, again taking Reserve Winner’s Bitch to the Major. So, it was a weekend without any points. However, with that many girls in the ring, and her taking the second spot in three shows, we’re still very proud of her and are now certain she will finish in AKC very quickly, most likely going on for her Grand Championship. Only time…and a few more shows…will tell.

Another Good Weekend

Baby Nova went to Wapakonetta over the 2024 Thanksgiving weekend and walked away just five points shy of her UKC Championship. These were Nova’s first shows and she strutted her stuff for two Best of Winners and two Best Females. She also won her class once, which gave her the necessary three competition wins and 95 points. She’s showing again at the UKC Midwest Classic in a couple of weeks and all she needs to do is win her class to finish. Then, she will move up to compete against the other Champions…which includes her half-brother…of course.

Sneaker Finishes His UCH

Over the 2024 Thanksgiving weekend, Mr. Sneaks grabbed the last five points he needed to complete his UKC Championship. So, he’s now an AKC and UKC Champion. Of course because he really doesn’t like to show, he didn’t do anything in the Champion class that weekend, so we shall have to chase his UKC Grand Championship during some of the nearby summer shows. As for his AKC Grand…go back and read the part about not liking to show and you’ll figure out why we retired him from AKC.

From the Whelping Box

We breed for the show ring and to improve the Poodle breed as a whole. Therefore, we don’t breed often since our aim is to produce quality and not quantity. We do have puppies available from time to time, so if you’re interested click on the button below.
