Barb had secretly wanted a black Dobie girl for about six years. It was her ambition and ultimate aim, but with the Poodle breeding program in full swing, there was just never that opportunity to fulfill her wish. Then, about two weeks after David left for a few months to the Persian Gulf, Barb found that her loneliness was all but overwhelming. So what do you do to cure a case of the lonely blues? You go get a puppy! Needless to say, she didn’t mention this one small acquisition during any of the phone conversations, allowing little Jesse to be a big surprise for David upon his return. And it was a big surprise, one where David wasn’t too pleased, that is until he really took a look at her. This little puppy was stunning, and it didn’t take long for David to come to his senses and see her potential. So she became a part of the Aircastle family. Oh, and I should probably mention that in short order, she also became a “Daddy’s girl”… Of course, she was raised by Poodles, so some of her antics aren’t very Dobie-like. But in her heart, she’s all Doberman … a heart that belongs completely to her Peopledaddy, who loves her dearly.
